Prayer is the godly means of communicating with God and sinking down deep the message of God from the head (brain) to the heart (Luke 9: 44; Daniel 7:15-16). Both the Old and New Testaments saints gave priority to prayer. Prayer is a vital doctrine which Christ laid emphasis on like other doctrines, though most Christians who prepare for the ministry neglect it and lack the most powerful weapon the world ever know. It is earnest with fasting.

Prayer of INTERCESSION is a special privilege Christians have of praying for others or making petition on their behalf at the throne of God’s grace. God expects every believer to intercede for others. Great joy and eternal rewards are the lot of interceding Christians (Ezekiel 22:30; 13:5; Isaiah 63:5; 62:1-7; Genesis 18:16-32; Exodus 32:9-14; 1 Samuel 7:8-10; 12:18-23; Romans 8:26-28; Hebrews 7:25; Romans 8:34).
